| Our construction team is headed by a principal of the firm who serves as the Project Manager and coordinates the required efforts of all divisions of Valcon and the project team. The Project Manager serves as the client's contact throughout the life of the project, thus providing the client with the advantage of a single source of accountability and responsibility for the management, cost and schedule control for the entire project. |

| Every Valcon project utilizes the services of professional testing laboratories to insure that the specified design parameters are achieved in the site work soil selections for fill material and soil compaction, as well as concrete strengths and quality. These laboratories use standard A.S.T.M. procedures in analyzing soils and concrete. |

| All of our projects are set up on a construction schedule in the form of a Bar Chart or Critical Path Method (CPM). These schedules are monitored on a daily basis and reviewed with the Architect and the Owner at their convenience, preferably by a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meeting, depending on the requirements of the particular job. Through this constant review process, trouble areas or possible delays can be identified ahead of time and necessary corrective action initiated before the project is adversely affected. |

Cost control on a construction project begins with the development of a project budget, through the use of preliminary drawings to provide budget estimates based on similar projects, actual costs, standard cost tabulations and experience factors. After the budget is finalized and the working drawings are complete, then Valcon will secure three or four sub bids from reputable subcontractors on each of the project divisions and from three or four suppliers for each class of material. If there is a problem staying within the budget, Valcon will help the Owner and Architect with value engineering analysis to investigate where costs can be reduced. Through the use of regularly scheduled meetings with the Owner and the Architect to assist in the selection of materials and methods, both the initial and long-term costs can be addressed and controlled. |

| Risk management and safety are always major considerations on every project. Valcon has in place a comprehensive safety program which involves superintendents and corporate officers in monthly safety meetings and superintendents, foremen and workers in weekly tool box meetings. Safety is everyone's business and Valcon works with its insurance representatives and O.S.H.A. inspectors to provide a safe work place. |
